Euradria 2019

The Euradria network was established to promote the mobility of jobseekers in the EU in the sense of freedom of movement for workers in the Euradria region in the cross-border area between Italy and Slovenia.

Project aims and objectives

With the help of a network of partners (such as employment services, employers’ associations, trade unions), other entities in the area of the labour market and EURES advisers, Euradria provides assistance and advisory services to all participants in the labour market in the region, both helping jobseekers find work and employers find qualified candidates with the knowledge and skills required for employment.

Network activities are focused on promoting measures on the cross-border labour market, such as preserving jobs, resolving cross-border employment issues and opportunities for growth of operations in the region.

The purpose of the Euradria project is:

  • to help increase the employment rate in the Euradria region (Coastal-Karst, Notranjska-Karst, Goriška, Friuli-Venezia Giulia),
  • to increase the level of information and employment opportunities for cross-border workers,
  • to streamline the process of seeking suitable workers for employers in both countries,
  • to provide qualified support to all partners involved.

The final goal of the project is to establish i.e. develop a common labour market in the Euradria region, by recognising mobility flows in the cross-border region between Slovenia and Italy and by identifying and eliminating obstacles to cross-border employment.
