In order to apply for a job and for financial support, you must fulfil the conditions.

The project supports European mobility and sustainable recruitments with fair working conditions.

The project cannot support employment within businesses with high turnover or with one or more days of unpaid trial work or training before employment or which offers only commission with no fixed wages.

TMS/YfEj supports jobs and work-based traineeships. Number of traineeships are limited and managed by the partner organisations: Allianssi Youth Exchanges, Better Business international (BBi), Företagsutveckling, Hesore Consulting, IFOA and the Azores.

It is obligatory to have contact with local EURES adviser in order to apply for the project. We can help you to find a job and inform you on what to think about before starting to work abroad.

What financial support can be provided and how to apply?

Interview trip allowance

It is obligatory to have contact with local EURES adviser in order to apply for the project.

You can apply for financial support for a job interview in another EU country and Norway and Iceland if you are invited by an employer. The allowance varies according to the country of destination, from EUR 100 to EUR 350.

Candidates can also apply for an interview trip within their country of residence if it is a recruitment towards a job in another EU country, Norway or Iceland.


HOW TO APPLY?
 

You cannot receive the same kind of support from both your employer and from the project. But it is possible for you to choose not to accept support from your employer and then apply for support from the project instead.

You must apply for the financial support latest the day before the interview takes place, the financial support cannot be provided retroactively.

Please note that you will be obliged to reimburse the whole amount if you do not start your new job or if you leave your job before 6 months, if you do not have duly motivated and lawful reasons to do so. If that happens please inform us immediately.

Relocation allowance and family support

It is obligatory to have contact with local EURES adviser in order to apply for the project.

You can apply for financial support if you relocate to another EU country and Norway and Iceland to start a new job and you can apply for family support for spouse and dependent children settling in the country of destination.


CONDITIONS!
 
  • The job applied for must have a duration of at least 6 months and you are expected to stay the whole period.
  • Wages and work conditions must be in accordance with national labour market law and praxis, such as collective agreements or minimum wage.
  • You do not apply for or accept a job which entails that you are employed in one country and posted in another country.

The relocation support is a contribution towards the costs for transport, travel insurance, temporary accommodation during the first stay in the country, meals and other sundries. To be eligible to apply, jobseekers cannot receive the same kind of support from the employer. But it is possible to choose not to accept support from the employer and apply for allowance from TMS/YfEj instead. The support is a flat rate according to the country of destination from EUR 700 to 1400.

TMS/YfEj will verify all information given by jobseekers. During the application process, the EURES adviser and recruiting employer will also be contacted.


HOW TO APPLY?
 

The project will ask your employer to send in a Confirmation of employment, no later than 4 weeks after your first day at work. We cannot grant any financial support until we have received the Confirmation of employment from your employer.

You cannot receive the same kind of support from both your employer and from the project. But it is possible for you to choose not to accept support from your employer and then apply for support from the project instead.

The application must be submitted to Your first EURES job Sweden at the latest the day before the work starts.

Please note that jobseekers will be obliged to reimburse the whole amount if they do not start their new job or if they leave their job before 6 months, if they do not have duly motivated and lawful reasons to do so. If that occurs, please inform TMS/YfEj immediately.

Other financial support

Jobseekers may also be entitled to receive additional financial support to cope with costs required to move and work in another EU country, Norway or Iceland, as specified hereunder. A precondition is that the employer, other EU programme or authority do not already pay for these costs. TMS/YfEj makes an individual assessment based on each application.

Candidates can also apply for partial reimbursement of the costs of:

  • recognition of qualifications,
  • language course,
  • supplementary trip allowance.
     

Recognition of qualifications

It is obligatory to have contact with local EURES adviser in order to apply for the project.

If you have got a job, been pre-selected or have good chances of finding a job in another EU country, Norway or Iceland and based on a need to have your academic and/or professional qualifications recognized in your new country of work, you may qualify for financial support towards the costs incurred.

The costs incurred with the recognition of qualifications may include: certified copies and/or translations, administrative proceedings, supervised practices (or trainings) and/or aptitude tests. 

Payment of financial support may be claimed, flat rate of maximum EUR 400, after submission of the recognition request to the competent clarification body in the new country of work.

Language course

It is obligatory to have contact with local EURES adviser in order to apply for the project.

If you have got a job, been pre-selected or have good chances of finding a job in another EU country, Norway or Iceland, and have a need to attend a shorter language course (maximum 8 weeks) in order to facilitate your work, you may be eligible to apply for support.

The application should be sent at least 4 weeks before the start of the language course. Please note that the project needs to approve your application before you start your course. 

Payment of financial support of 50% of the actual costs may be claimed after approval before start of course, and with 50% of the costs after successful completion of the course, and after documentary evidence such as course certificate.

You cannot receive the same kind of support from both your employer and from the project. But it is possible for you to choose not to accept support from your employer and then apply for support from the project instead.

Supplementary trip allowance

It is obligatory to have contact with local EURES adviser in order to apply for the project.

If you experience extraordinary travel costs, you may qualify for a supplementary trip allowance covering cost for interview trips and/or relocation trips. Reimbursement of declared costs up to maximum EUR 500.

You may have special needs, i.e. disabilities and/or come from a disadvantaged social/economic background or be facing temporary economic difficulties.

The supplementary trip allowance could cover transportation of a wheelchair or a guide-dog, the travel cost of accompaniment or other duly justified need. It could also be the case that you are travelling from the outermost regions/peripheral regions of Europe and experience extraordinary costs immediately before and/or after moving to another EU country, Norway or Iceland.

Main conditions


In order to apply for a financial support, you must fulfil the following conditions:

  • jobseekers aged 18 years or older,
  • citizen of an EU country, Norway or Iceland,
  • resident in an EU country, Norway or Iceland and applying for a job in another EU country, Norway or Iceland,
  • must apply for the financial support at the latest one day before the date of the job interview, cannot apply retroactively,
  • job applied for must have a duration of at least 6 months,
  • working hours must be at least 50 percent of a normal working week,
  • not receiving paid travel nor accommodation costs, meals, local transport nor all other sundries from the employer, other project or authority.
